Plaice and Turbot
These species dont grow to the size of bin lids but more of a large oval plate size(3.5lb) along with their cousin the Dab.
They can provide a more sedate and relaxing day drifting the shallow bays at Ardwell,Port Logan and Broadsea bay North of Killantringan Lighthouse but bait is required...either worm, smallsandeel or mussel.
Booms,beads and spoons is the order of the day with a lighter rod and smaller weights as fishing takes place in 6-25ft water
